WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Patrick Storie scored 29 points on Monday to lead the Mount Greylock boys basketball team to a 68-64 win over Taconic in the Mounties’ regular season finale.

Storie went 5-for-6 at the line and scored 13 points in the fourth quarter, when Mounties (14-6) outscored Taconic, 24-21, to pull out their sixth-straight win.

“It was a really hard-fought game,” Mount Greylock coach Bob Thistle said. “Our kids stuck together. Worked hard, and we were able to come out with the win tonight.

“It was a nice win for us going into the Western Mass tournament. I’m really proud of the team.”

Sean McCormack scored 16 points, and Zach Ronnow added 14 in the win.

For Taconic (16-3), Izaiya Mestre scored 21, and Deonte Sandifer and Treyvon Ringgold added nine apiece.

Taconic, which saw a seven-game win streak come to an end, finishes the regular season at home on Wednesday against Drury.

Both teams will learn their first post-season opponents on Saturday when the Western Mass tournament seeds are announced.
