Taconic Boys Basketball Christens New Gym with Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Quentin Gittens led four Taconic players in double figures Tuesday to lead his team to victory in the first game in the school’s new gymnasium.
 
Quincy Davis and Isaac Percy each scored 12, and Mohammed Sanogo added 10 as Taconic won its first game of the season.
 
It took control of the game in the second quarter, when Gittens scored five and Taconic outscored Northampton by a margin of 18-6 to take a 32-18 lead into half-time.
 
Michael McCarthy led Northampton with 17 points.
 
Taconic (1-2) hosts St. John Shrewsbury on Friday.
