Baystate Boys Break Open Close Game, Win Big at Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Travis Jordan scored 23 points Monday to lead the Baystate Academy boys basketball team to an 88-63 win over Hoosac Valley.
 
It was a three-point game with 38 seconds left in the first half, but Baystate opened a 44-35 half-time lead and went up by as many as 20 in the third quarter.
 
“Hoosac Valley made one run, cutting the lead to 12, but Baystate had way too much firepower and dominated the glass,” Hurricanes coach Bill Robinson said.
 
Carson Meczywor tied for game-high honors with 23, and Frank Field scored 16 for Hoosac Valley.
 
The Hurricanes (2-1) host Mount Anthony on Wednesday.
