Naragansett Knocks Out Wahconah in Sectional Semis

AMHERST, Mass. -- Freddie Monnette-Harris scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures as the Narragansett boys basketball team edged Wahconah, 63-59, in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 semi-finals on Tuesday at Curry Hicks Cage.
 
Kevin Huban scored a game-high 22 points in his last game for fourth-seeded Wahconah (17-6).
 
Griffen Savlvini scored 13 points, and Zak Bernardo added nine in the loss.
 
Narragansett came back from a five-point half-time deficit by outscoring Wahconah, 15-7 in the third quarter.
 
Monette-Harris hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight points in that third period.
 
Jacob Smith scored 13 points, and Payton Manca and Damian Comeau added 11 and 10, respectively in the win.
 
No. 1 Narragansett, which reached the semi-finals with an overtime win over Mount Greylock last week, moves on to Saturday's sectional final against No. 2 Sabis (14-8), a winner over Monument Mountain on Tuesday night.
