McLaughlin, Wahconah Boys Earn Big Road Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Pat McLaughlin scored 24 points Monday to lead the Wahconah boys basketball team to a 74-64 win over Baystate Charter.
 
McLaughlin scored 11 points -- nine on 3-pointers -- in the decisive fourth quarter, when Wahconah outscored its hosts by a margin of 23-17 to secure the win.
 
Brody Calvert scored 20 points, and Ben Noyes had 11 in the win. Braedyn Melle contributed seven points.
 
"Great win on the road," Wahconah coach Dustin Belcher said. "The kids played their hearts out and beat a very good team."
 
Wahconah (2-0) hosts Monument Mountain next Monday.
