McLaughlin, Late Foul-Shooting Lift Wahconah Boys

DALTON, Mass. – Patrick McLaughlin scored 24 points, and the Wahconah boys basketball team Wednesday outscored Pittsfield, 17-5, in the fourth quarter to earn a 66-55 win.
 
Brody Calvert scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter.
 
Calvert shot 4-for-4 from the foul line in the period. McLaughlin was 3-for-3 at the line and scored five points in the decisive quarter.
 
For the game, McLaughlin was 7-for-7 at the line, and Wahconah as a team shot 12-for-13 from the stripe.
 
Tobias Gaulden-Wheeler led Pittsfield with 16 points. Nick Brindle hit three 3-pointers to score nine.
 
Pittsfield (5-13) and Wahconah (13-5) learn their next opponents on Saturday.
