Roberson's 47 Lead Crusaders in Rout

SPRINGFIELD -- Taverick "Tank" Roberson scored 47 points to lead the St. Joseph Central High School boys basketball team to a 137-31 win over Westfield Vocational on Saturday in the rescheduled playing of a holiday tournament game at New Leadership Charter School.

Roberson also passed out 10 assists in the win, the sixth in a row for the Crusaders (7-2).

Jon Bianchi scored 14 with five assists, and Matt Begrowicz had 13 points, including three 3-pointers for St. Joe.

Forward Lavante Wiggins, who was bothered by sickness in Friday night's win over Lee, scored 11 and grabbed six rebounds on Saturday. Josh Kelly had a team-high eight rebounds for the Crusaders.

St. Joseph travels to North Adams to face Drury on Tuesday.
