SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Khalil Carlson scored 21 points Friday to lead the Monument Mountain boys basketball team to a 73-58 win over South Hadley.

Caden Gidarakos scored 17 – 12 on 3-pointers – as the Spartans topped the Tigers for the second time this week.

“It was a solid road win in a place that's tough to win,” Monument Mountain coach Randy Koldys said. “It was also the back end of a home-and-home with them. Playing a team twice in three days is not easy and to make the effort we did on both ends makes me really proud of my guys.”

Kyle Wellencamp scored 12, and Devon Hanavan added 10 in the win.

Monument Mountain (7-3) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
