Monument Mountain Boys Earn Win on Senior Day

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Senior Caden Gidarakos scored 18 points, and the Monument Mountain boys basketball team used a big second quarter to open up a lead en route to a 69-45 win over Brattleboro on Senior Day on Saturday.
 
Senior Kenzel Chandler-Ellerbee scored seven points in the second quarter, which started with the Spartans and Colonels tied, 12-12, and ended with Monument Mountain taking a 36-22 lead into the locker room.
 
Khalil Carlson scored 15 points, and Senior Marco Buffoni added 11 for Monument Mountain, which got nine points from Chandler-Ellerbee.
 
Sam Matlocks scored 16 to lead Brattleboro.
 
Monument Mountain (11-4) plays at Monson on Sunday, continuing a stretch of three games in three days.
