Monument Mountain Boys Rally Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Dion Brown scored 20 points, and Noel Powell scored eight in the fourth quarter as the Monument Mountain boys basketball team came from behind to earn a 60-52 win over Pittsfield on Monday night.
 
Powell, who finished with 12 points, hit four field goals in the last eight minutes as the Spartans rallied from a three-point deficit, outscoring the Generals, 18-7, in the period.
 
"It was a tough game with multiple lead changes going into the final two minutes," Pittsfield coach Brandon Mauer said. "Monument edged us with some gritty play and timely baskets."
 
Dylan Brownson and Ty Higgins each scored nine for the Spartans.
 
Pittsfield was led by Carter Matthews with 15 and Sincere Moorer with 12.
 
The Generals (2-2-) are at Lenox on Wednesday night.
 
Monument Mountain (4-0) goes to Connecticut to face Housatonic Valley on Saturday.
