PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Holyoke boys basketball team outrebounded Pittsfield by 12 en route to a 79-67 win on Friday night.

Pittsfield coach Brandon Mauer said that the visitors showed more effort, and his team struggled to protect the ball.

“We have a lot to do in terms of focus to become the team we want to be, and I'm confident the leaders on this team will help turn this disappointing start to the season around,” Mauer said. “We play again [Saturday] at home versus Baystate and we're hoping to make a statement with a rebound win.”

Pittsfield (3-5) takes a four-game losing streak into Saturday’s game.
