Blink and you will might this week's iBerkshires.com/Southwestern Vermont Health Care Athletes of the Week.

These two student-athletes had productive weeks in their respective sports, even if they did not spend a lot of time actually competing.

No county girl got down the giant slalom course at Bousquet this week faster than Lenox's Madison DiGrigoli.

Her time of 48.03 seconds was nearly two seconds ahead of the field and helped Millionaires finish third in the team competition.

The season opener, delayed by a week due to the lack of skiable conditions for December practices, is building to March's return of the state alpine meet, where in 2020, DiGrigoli helped Lenox place fourth in the state.

The Mount Everett wrestling team was fourth at Saturday's Kevin Harrington Memorial Tournament at Taconic -- largely because Nick Lupiani made such fast work of the competition.

Lupiani pinned his four competitors in the 120-pound weight class in an average of 50 seconds.

He earned awards for the most pins in the least amount of time and was named the outstanding wrestler of the meet in the light weight division.

His 47-second pin in the title bout gave Lupiani his second straight tournament title and one of three golds the Eagles earned on the day.

The iBerkshires.com Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Southwestern Vermont Health Care.
