Alward Scores 20 as Lenox Comes Back for OT Win at Lee

LEE, Mass. -- Jade Alward scored 20 points, and the Lenox girls basketball team outscored Lee, 25-7, in the fourth quarter and overtime to earn a 53-47 win over the Wildcats on Thursday night.
 
Alward drained five 3-pointers in the second half to help Lenox overcome a 29-17 half-time deficit.
 
In overtime, Amelia Reis scored all four of her points and Tabor Paul (seven points) hit a 3-pointer as Lenox outscored its hosts, 8-2, in the extra session.
 
Kat Nichols scored 12, and Sophie Patella added eight for Lenox.
 
Lena Simone led Lee with 16. Emma Puleri contributed 13 in the loss.
 
Lee (7-5) and Lenox (4-6) both go to Hoosac Valley on Saturday to play in the Coaches Vs. Cancer Showcase. The Wildcats kick off the event against Frontier at 10:30 a.m. Lenox faces Mahar at noon.
