SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Emily Steuernagle led a balanced Mount Everett attack with 12 points in Friday’s 48-26 win over Franklin Tech.

Mount Everett held the visitors to eight points in the second half of the rematch from the season opener, a seven-point Franklin Tech win.

“The girls have really stepped up to the challenge this week and have played some really fun basketball games these past three nights,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “After Saturday's loss to Pope Francis, the girls practiced hard on Monday and Tuesday, battled with Lenox on Wednesday, played Renaissance Thursday, and had a rematch with a Franklin Tech team that beat us early in the season.

“The girls played well tonight on both ends of the courts and our defense led to a lot of fast break opportunities.”

Emma Goewey scored 11 points, and Hudah Ngoy Nkulu added nine in the win.

Mount Everett (6-10) hosts Drury on Monday.
