Snyder Leads Eagles to Win over Lee Girls

LEE, Mass — Parker Snyder hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter to help the Mount Everett girls basketball team take a 14-9 lead, and the Eagles held on for a 38-34 win over Lee in the first round of the South County Tournament on Monday night.
 
Snyder finished with a game-high 19 points, and Gwendolyn Carpenter scored 14 for Mount Everett (4-1).
 
Brianna Hawley scord 13, and Karli Retzel added 10 for Lee, which outscored Mount Everett, 11-4, in the fourth quarter but could not come all the way back.
 
Lee (1-3) takes on Lenox on Tuesday night. Mount Everett will face Monument Mountain, which beat the Millionaires on Monday in the first round.
