Ullrich, Mount Everett Girls Rally to Take Tourney Title

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- Madison Ullrich scored 19 points, including nine in a pivotal fourth quarter, to lead the Mount Everett girls basketball team to a 44-38 win over Hopkins Academy on Friday night in the title game of the Franklin Tech Tournament.
 
Ullrich hit four field goals in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (2-0) overcame a two-point third quarter and a seven-point deficit going into the final eight minutes.
 
Gwendolyn Carpenter matched Ullrich with 19 points -- 11 coming at the foul line. She scored nine points in the fourth, including six at the line.
 
Mount Everett goes to Pittsfield on Monday.
