Monson Girls Drop Hoosac Valley

MONSON, Mass. – Olivia Chrzan scored 20 points Tuesday to lead the Monson girls basketball team to a 49-44 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Rylynn Witek tied for game-high honors with 20 points,and Taylor Garabedian scored 14 for the Hurricanes.

 

The Mustangs took control in the third quarter. After trailing, 23-22, at half-time, the hosts outscored Hoosac Valley, 13-6, in the third.

 

Hoosac Valley (15-3) learns Saturday its first round opponent in next week’s Western Massachusetts regional tournament.
