Lee High Girls Get Balanced Scoring in Road Win

DALTON, Mass. -- Karli Retzel scored six of her game-high 12 points in a decisive fourth quarter Friday to lead the Lee High girls basketball team to a 58-53 win over Wahconah.
 
Lee outscored its hosts, 20-14, in the final eight minutes to erase a one-point deficit and improve to 4-0 this winter.
 
Kendra Williams also scored 12 for the Wildcats, who got 11 from Shannon Finnegan and nine apiece from Mikayla DeSantis and Brianna Hawley.
 
For Wahconah (1-2), Emmy Cote tied for game-high honors with a dozen points, and Amelia Dougherty scored 11.
 
Wahconah looks to get back on track next week at a tournament in Syracuse, N.Y.
 
Lee heads to Sheffield on Wednesday to play Monument Mountain in the first round of the South County Tournament.
