Steinman, Pittsfield Girls Down Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. -- Peyton Steinman hit three 3-pointers in a pivotal second quarter and scored 24 points to lead Pittsfield’s girls basketball team to a 58-44 win over Wahconah on Thursday night.
 
Pittsfield used a 19-6 second quarter to open up a 34-20 half-time lead and played Wahconah even in the second half to win its seventh straight game.
 
Alexis Garvey scored 11, and Natasha Shade and Bella Aitken contributed seven apiece.
 
Ashley Zink scored 12, and Emmy Cote added 10 for Wahconah (8-9).
 
Pittsfield (12-6) hosts Wahconah on Monday.
