WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Charlotte Coody scored nine points, and the Mount Greylock girls basketball team Monday held off a Mount Everett comeback bid to earn a 30-28 win.

The Eagles (0-3) could not overcome a slow start that saw the hosts lead, 4-0, after one quarter.

Mount Greylock took a seven-point lead into the fourth, but the visitors fought back with Emma Goewey scoring six of her game-high 14 points in the quarter to make it close.

Emily Steurernagle backed up Goewey with eight points.

Emma Stevens and Abby Scialabba each scored five for Mount Greylock (2-2).
