Mount Everett's Carpenter Named County's MVP

Mount Everett’s Gwendolyn Carpenter was named Berkshire County’s Most Valuable Player in a vote of the league’s coaches.
 
Carpenter led a group of nine players who earned all-league recognition when the coaches named their teams this week.
 
Joining her on the all-league list were Hoosac Valley’s Alie Mendel and Lexi Mercier, Wahconah’s Maria Gamberoni and Julia O’Connor, Lenox’s Alice Najimy, Pittsfield’s Bella Aitken, Mount Greylock’s Lauren Howard and Monument Mountain’s Meredith Powell.
 
The coaches also named all-North Division and all-South Division squads for the 2017-18 season.
 
Making the all-North list were Taconic’s Ashley Rufo, Tamia Patrick and Riana Gittens, Hoosac Valley’s Skylar Case and Riley Robinson, Monument Mountain’s Destiny Brown and Arianna Saporito, Wahconah’s Kelly McMahon, Cassie Tobler and Noelle Furlong, and Pittsfield’s Alexis Garvey, Taea Bramer and Jordyn Lummus.
 
Earning all-South recognition were Lenox’s NIcole Gamberoni, Lee’s Shannon Finnegan and Brianna Hawley, Drury’s Brooke DiGennaro, Alison Felix and Haley Shook, and Mount Everett’s Madison Ullrich and Marion DeVoti.
