3-Pointer at Buzzer Trips Lenox Girls in Quarter-Finals

WARE, Mass. -- Ware’s Ayden Welsh hit a 25-foot 3-point shot at the buzzer to give her team a 35-33 win over Lenox on Friday in the Western Massachusetts Division 4 quarter-finals.
 
Welsh and Lexi Orszulak finished with 11 points apiece for second-seeded Ware (18-4), which moved on to a date with Hopkins Academy on Monday at UMass-Amherst in the sectional semi-finals.
 
Jade Alward hit two 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 14 points for the Millionaires (7-15), who got eight points from Tabor Paul.
