CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Lenox's Sophie Patella scored 16 points and grabbed 21 rebounds Saturday to lead the Millionaires to a 58-33 win over Mahar at the Coaches Vs. Cancer Showcase.

Lenox also got 16 points from Jade Alward in a dominating victory.

Alward made two of the biggest shots of the night, stemming the Senators' momentum at key moments in the second half to keep Mahar from getting back in the game.

Lenox opened the third quarter with an 8-0 run to open up a 33-14 lead, but Mahar rallied with a 5-0 spurt of its own  to get within 14.

The next time down the court, Alward drilled a 3-pointer from the top of the key to right the ship for Lenox.

At the start of the third, Mahar's Mary Prescott hit 3-pointers on back-to-back trips to get the Senators within 13 at 42-29.

But out of a Lenox timeout, Alward drove the lane for a bucket that ignited a 7-0 spurt to put the game away.

Patella was a dominant presence in the paint at both ends of the floor, where she often had to contend with Mahar center Saylor Keegans (seven points, 14 rebounds).

Mahar took its las lead with about a minute left in the first quarter when Keegans scored in the post to make it 9-7.

On Lenox's next possession, Alward was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and converted all three from the line to put the Millionaires on top for good.

Those foul shots started a 10-0 run that ended in the second with a make at the elbow from Tabor Paul (seven points).

Lenox went on to an 11-point lead at half-time and never looked back.

The Millionaires (5-6) go to Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
