Mount Greylock Girls Rally Past Lenox to Reach Tournament

LENOX, Mass. -- Delaney Babcock scored 10 points, and the Mount Greylock girls basketball team Monday rallied to a 30-26 win over Lenox to clinch a berth in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament in the Mounties’ last game of the regular season.
 
The Mounties (10-10) were behind all night and went to the fourth quarter trailing, 17-14.
 
But Emma Stevens (nine points) hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth, when Babcock scored five and Emma Gilooly added a triple as the Mounties outscored Lenox, 16-9, over the last eight minutes to earn the win.
 
Ciera Schwarzer and Madison Ross each scored four points in the win.
 
Sophie Patella scored eight to lead the Millionaires.
 
Lenox (12-7) goes to Mount Everett to finish the regular season on Wednesday.
 
Both the MIllionaires and Mounties will learn Saturday when and against whom they will open play in their respective Western Massachusetts tournaments.
