PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Addie McLaughlin scored 21 points Monday to lead the Monument Mountain girls basketball team to a 48-40, comeback win over Taconic.

 

Hailey Higgins scored 13, and Meri Powell added eight for the Spartans (9-10), who moved within one win of qualifying for the Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Taconic (6-14) got 11 points from Jazz Rodriguez and 10 from Brittany Hennault.

 

Taconic finishes the regular season at Drury on Thursday.

 

Monument takes a three-game winning streak into its regular season finale, Wednesday at Tantasqua.
