GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Lexi Garvey scored 20 points and grabbed 21 rebounds Friday night to lead the Pittsfield girls basketball team to a 51-41 win over Monument Mountain.

 

The Generals jumped out to a 14-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as they bounced back from a tough independent loss on Wednesday and improved to 8-4 this winter.

 

Emery Sime scored nine, and Jordyn Lummus had another complete game with five points, seven rebounds and five assists.

 

Pittsfield has another tough test on Tuesday when it hosts Hoosac Valley.

 

Monument Mountain (4-5) hosts Wahconah on Tuesday.
