NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Brooke DiGennaro and Tess Zoito each scored 16 points, and the Drury girls basketball team Tuesday advanced to the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament with a 64-59 win over Mahar in Bucky Bullett Gymnasium.
It started out like a laugher with the Blue Devils running up a 20-5 lead after one quarter, but they needed to hold off the Senators in the end, getting six points from Zoito and 4-for-4 shooting at the line from Alison Felix (10 points) in the fourth quarter.
Kayla McGrath also scored 10 points for the Blue Devils, knocking down a couple of 3-pointers along the way.
Eighth-seeded Drury (13-8) advances to Friday’s Elite Eight at top-seeded South Hadley, which received a bye into the quarter-finals.
