PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Nyanna Slaughter scored 20 points to lead the Taconic High School girls basketball team to a 66-19 win over Commerce on Monday night in the first round of the Western Massachusetts Division 2 tournament.

 

Angela Oneil scored 14 for Taconic (11-10), which earned a trip to take on second-seeded North Middlesex (16-4) in the quarter-final round on Thursday Saturday at 7 p.m. North Middlesex received a bye through the first round.

 

Maddy Quinto scored eight points for Taconic.
