The No. 8 Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team pushed top-seeded Mahar as far as it could on Saturday night before eventually falling 57-55 in double overtime in the quarterfinals of the Division 2 Western Mass. tournament.

Junior point guard Tori Rumbolt connected on two different scoring plays with freshman forward Emily Rosse late in the game, helping the Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team pull out a 67-60 win over South Hadley in the first round of the Division 2 Western Mass. tournament on Monday night.

After building a 25-17 lead at halftime, the Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team stood toe to toe with Lenox in the second half before eventually losing 42-41 at Adams Memorial School on Tuesday night.

Freshman forward Emily Rosse was all over the court on Tuesday night, scoring 17 baskets on her way to a career-high 42 points, leading the Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team to a 67-30 win at Mount Everett.

Freshman forward Emily Rosse had a career night on Thursday, setting new highs with 24 points and 24 rebounds to lead the Hoosac Valley girls' basketball team to a 61-39 win over Monument Mountain.
