Lanesborough Looks Toward Upgrading Police Cruiser Fleet

Police Chief Timothy Sorrell is willing to shrink the size of the cruiser fleet, as long as newer vehicles are purchased. Sorrell has pitched the Board of Selectmen a concept of eliminating two cruisers in exchange for purchasing newer versions. Overall, the department would reduce from six cruisers to four - but the four would be newer.

Adams Town Meeting Opts For Higher Administrator Salary Range

During Monday's annual town meeting, the 104 present members out 150 passed the bulk of the 25 articles in the first few minutes of the meeting that lasted just over an hour. However, they pumped the brakes on Article 6, the town administrator salary, which narrowly passed with 17 votes.

Adams Finance Committee Completes Review of Fiscal 2019 Budget

A vote to approve the town administrator's personal services budget failed with a 1-9 vote because a majority of the committee felt the $95,000 salary cap for the town administrator's salary was out of line.
