Starting Kindergarten! The day can be both exciting and stressful for children and their parents. To help ease the way, the Children’s Department at the North Adams Public Library is once again offering an “I’m Going to Kindergarten†program.
This special celebration will include stories about getting ready for school, craft activities, and refreshments. Join other kindergarten children wearing their bight yellow t-shirts at the library on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 6:30 PM to share in this exciting time of discovery.
Parents are also encouraged to bring their children in at any time to meet the children’s librarians, get a library card, and pick out books from the “First Day of School†collection.
All North Adams children who come in wearing their bright yellow “I’m Going to Kindergarten†T-shirts (or any kindergarteners from surrounding towns) will be invited to pick a small treasure from the kindergarten box.
