'The Wizard of Oz' at Drury High School

The Drury Drama Team, under the direction of Dr. Len Radin will present the musical, The Wizard of Oz at Drury High School on November 8,9,10,15,16, and 17 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $7 for students and $9 for non-students. Tickets are available at Persnickety on Eagle Street in North Adams, Where’d You Get That in Williamstown or at the door. For more information see www.drurydrama.com This is the twentieth season for the Drama Team and the first year of a major expansion of the theatre program. James Montepare, Superintendent of the North Adams School District has announced that Dr. Radin has been appointed as District Drama Coordinator. Radin’s mission is to establish theatre programs in all grades and schools of the North Adams public schools.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
