NORTH ADAMS - Salem State's Manise Louinord 14 points and five steals helped the Vikings defeat host MCLA 69-36 on Monday afternoon.

Teammates Melissa Macchi and Michelle Gosselin also finished in double figures with 11 and 10 respectively, both with five steals of their own.

MCLA did hold an early lead but the Vikings slowly inched ahead finally exploding for a first half 16-0 run that put the game out of reach for the Trailblazers.

Plagued by turnovers, the bright spot for the Trailblazers continues to be their effort on the boards. Laura Silverman finished with ten rebounds and her team finished with 43 to Salem's 39 rebounds. Jess Tietgens finished with a team high nine points on the afternoon.
