Monthly WordPlay to Feature Short Story Writer
NORTH ADAMS - WordPlay, a monthly reading series sponsored by Inkberry and Papyri Books, will be held at Papyri, 45 Eagle St., on Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m.
March's WordPlay will highlight the work of Kelli Newby.
Newby, of North Adams, teaches part time at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and is a recent graduate of the Bennington Writing Seminar at Bennington (Vt.) College. She has been included in the MCLA publication The Mind's Eye with her short story "Corpus" and will be featured on the radio WBCR-LP 97.7 program "Story Time" with her work "The Genius Behind Pink Floyd."
Gail Burns of Williamstown will host the event for Inkberry.
After the reading, there will be a brief intermission, followed by the popular WordPlay open mike. Refreshments will be available, and admission is free and open to the public.
