North Adams - Mill City Productions is pleased to announce programming through June of 2009.
 
This November, Mill City will produce a stage adaptation of the classic story 'The Little Prince', directed by Liz Urban. 'The Little Prince' features local residents Sam Cabot as the Little Prince and Edward Cating as the Aviator, as well as 12 local actors rounding out the cast. Performances will take place on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th and 22nd at 7pm, with matinees at 2pm on Sunday, November 16th, Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday, November 23rd.
 
Addition programming will include a March 2009 production of Agatha Christie's 'The Mousetrap', directed by Marissa Carlson and a June 2009 production of the musical 'Zombie Prom', directed by Mike Grogan.
 
Mill City will also continue to hold their monthly play reading series. Each month, a different play will be chosen and read by various actors from the community. The October selection is 'Arsenic and Old Lace', by Joseph Kesselring. The reading will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 7pm. Tickets are $3 and are available at the door.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
