Local bands will fill St. John's Parish Hall
NORTH ADAMS, Mass - Local bands will fill St. John's Parish Hall with alternative rock, melodic metal, and pop-punk on Saturday, November 22nd in a show presented by the Grooove- a teen run concert series. Bands go on at 7pm.Enter the parish hall at 59 Summer Street, right near the North Adams Post Office. Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door. All Grooove events follow a substance-free policy, which means that performers and audience members (including adults) must be free of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The Grooove operates as part of UNITY (United, Neighboring, Interdependent, Trusted Youth), a program of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition.
Founded in 1996 by two Drury High School students, the Grooove continues today with the leadership and participation of students from several local high schools and middle schools. The group organizes monthly events, ranging from large-scale outdoor shows to smaller, more intimate coffeehouse-style concerts.
