Mill City Productions announces November reading

NORTH ADAMS, Mass - Mill City Productions, a North Adams based community theatre is pleased to announce “Run For Your Wife” by Ray Cooney as the November selection for their monthly play reading series. The dramatic reading will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 8pm at Mill City’s theatre in Building 4 (next to the Visitor’s Center) in the Western Gateway Heritage State Park in North Adams. Please park in either the Northeast lot (near NBCTC) or in the Son’s of Italy lot.

Admission is $3. Tickets will be available at the door. The reading is directed by Mike Grogan and features Marissa Carlson, Edward Cating, Jackie DeGiorgis, Mike Grogan, Julia Les, Evan Marshall, George Ruberti, Peter Russell, Cynthia Saunders Quinones and Chad Therrien.

“Run For Your Wife” tells the story of a cab driver named John Smith, who has two wives, two lives and a very precise schedule for juggling them both. Trouble brews when Smith is mugged and ends up in the hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing both the Streatham and Wimbledon police to investigate. Having upset his schedule, Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in his attempts to explain himself to his wives and two suspicious police officers.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
