Doctor to Read from Latest Medical Mystery Novel
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Dr. Richard Greene will read from his latest novel, "The Day After Midnight," at Chapters Bookstore at 78 North St. on Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m.Held in conjunction with Literacy Volunteers of Berkshire County, the evening of mystery will include a raffle to support the nonprofit group, readings by several local writers and light refreshments.
Greene's first book was "Midnight Rounds," the first Dr. Charlie Davids mystery, and set in Great Barrington and Dalton. Greene worked in the emergency room at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, later opening a dermatology practice.
Bolstered by a network of loyal friends, Charlie takes on both the Mob and the FBI in this next installment in the Dr. Charlie Davids series. The novel explores issues of individual accountability, social responsibility and living life to its fullest.
Rounding out the evening will be a reading from Sharon Mack from the Berkshire Writer's Room, from her mystery novel in progress, "The Road to Osceander." Also joining for the evening will be poets Victoria Passier and Lynda Collins-Villisidis.
