Miller on Stage

Main Street Stage is will present Arthur Miller’s "All My Sons" at the Main Street Stage on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April  3, 4, and 5. Call 413-663-3240 or purchase tickets online.

Eat a Dog; Help a Child
On Saturday, April 4, beginning at 11 am, the Hot Dog Ranch at 310 State Street will donate 10 percent of proceeds to Miles for Miracles Marathon. The day will include a Red Sox ticket raffle and other prizes.

Choo-Chooing Off to War
The spring exhibit at Western Gateway Heritage State Park, "Railroads at War," begins with a free tour on Saturday, April 4, at 2. The display traces the role of the railroad during wartime from the Civil War through World War II and will be open every day from 10 to 5 p.m. For information: 413-663-6312 or MassParks.

MoCA's for the Birds
Innovative theater artist Sebastienne Mundheim's "Sea of Birds" debuts at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art with two performances at 4 and 8 p.m. in the Hunter Center on Saturday, April 4. Information: 413-662-2111.

Kids can be part of the creative process and join Mundheim for a workshop at noon to build set pieces that will be used in the performances later in the day. Space is limited.

Modern Elegies

Mass MoCA hosts an opening reception for its new exhibition "These Days: Elegies for Modern Times" on Saturday, April 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The exhibition brings together six artists whose work is infused with the poetic and musical tradition of the elegy. Complimentary refreshments will be served. Free for MoCA members. Zombies!
Mill City Productions will be holding auditions for its upcoming production, "Zombie Prom" on Monday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 8, at 6:30 p.m. at its theater in building 4 at Western Gateway Heritage State Park. New North Adams Restaurant Approved for Liquor License

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — A new restaurant on Main Street, a provisions shop and a convenience store all got the nod from the License Commission on Tuesday.
 
Siblings Colleen and Sean Taylor are expanding their cuisine empire yet again with the establishment of Main & Mill in the old TD Bank. They were before the commission to apply for an all-alcohol license. 
 
The building is owned by Ginko on Main Street LLC, which has granted 20 years exclusive possession of the property to Latent Builds as the developer. Jack and Suzy Wadsworth, behind Ginko, are development partners with Salvatore Perry and Karla Rothstein of Latent.
 
The bank closed in early 2021 and purchased by Ginko late that year. Plans for the property unveiled three years ago envisioned a restaurant, retail, a park and rooftop bar. 
 
The building's hosted some pop-up eateries and is currently under construction for the new restaurant. 
 
Colleen Taylor said the restaurant will be open seven days a week serving lunch and dinner, and be open early for coffee. 
 
"It's not going to be a very big restaurant. It's about the same size as Trail House, except for Trail House has a bigger patio, so about the same seating," she said.
