Applications Available For Spring Food Drive
PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Local branch #286 of the National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service and Berkshire United Way, will be conducting its Spring Food Drive on Saturday, May 9, 2009.Letter carriers throughout Berkshire County will be collecting non-perishable items for later distribution by volunteers from Berkshire United Way, Berkshire Community Action Council, Berkshire Youth United and the U.S. Postal Service.
All food pantries or programs in the Central Berkshire area that have not already been notified and wish to receive food items collected during the drive are asked to contact Maryanne Boenitz at Berkshire United Way at 413-442-4710 for an application. Deadline for applications is April 21st.
