Williamstown Police Seek Information on Hit-and-Run

The accident occurred at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Hancock and Old Mill roads. Police and Village Ambulance Service received a call about a cyclist with an unknown medical problem.
The man, who was not indentified, told police he had been struck by a motor vehicle that did not stop. A second motorist noticed the cyclist stopped to help. The man was taken to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield with chest and back injuries that police said did not appear life-threatening.
No description of the vehicle was available from the victim; police did find pieces of red broken lens that may have come from the vehicle.
