“City Plots†Cemetery Walk
PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Berkshire Historical Society invites you to take a stroll through historic Pittsfield Cemetery on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, and meet some of the area’s most colorful characters from the past.Brought to life in a script by J. Peter Bergman, “City Plots” will introduce such notables as Pittsfield Historian J.E.A. Smith-played by Charles Wright, and Mary Agnes Pomeroy Barlett, wife of Civil War hero, General William Francis Bartlett, played by Diane Arduini.
Others in the cast include Sally Filkins, Kate Gulliver, and Thomas Towne. The tour will meet inside the gates of the Cemetery at 203 Wahconah Street and will begin promptly at 6:00 P.M..
Admission is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children. Tickets are available at the gate or call 1-413-1793, x 11. Comfortable shoes are suggested.
