Sewing Classes Offered for Mohawk Forest Youth
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Amy Ritcher, a resident of Mohawk Forest Apartments, is donating her time to teach sewing to youth in the neighborhood. The class provides an opportunity for the youth to learn basic sewing skills using sewing machines that most would not otherwise be able to learn. Over the next months, the youth will make simple quilts and other projects both for themselves and to be donated.
Mohawk Forest, owned and operated by the nonprofit faith-based Caleb Foundation, is in need of donations of sewing machines in good repair that can be used for this weekly ongoing group. Anyone will to donate a sewing machine in good running order can contact the office at Mohawk Forest at 413-663-6900.
