NARH will host blood drive with BHS bloodmobile

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - North Adams Regional Hospital and Berkshire Health Systems will host a blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Adams Regional Hospital.

To schedule a convenient appointment to give blood, call the BHS bloodmobile at 1-413-447-2114, ext. 3981. Walk-in donors are also welcome.

The drive is open to the public. All blood types are needed.

Potential blood donors should be in good health the day of the drive, be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors should not have given blood in the previous 56 days (eight weeks).

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
