Holiday Small Works Opening at Eclipse Mill Gallery

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - The Eclipse Mill Gallery. at 243 Union Street in North Adams, MA, will present “Holiday Small Works” from November 20 through December 20. The exhibition, curated by glass artist Isabella Raven, will open with a reception on Friday, November 20 from 6 to 8 pm. The show offers affordable fine crafts and fine arts suitable as gifts for the holidays.

Gallery Hours and Location:

The Eclipse Mill Gallery is at 243 Union Street in North Adams, just a half mile east of MASS MoCA on Route 2. For the Small Works show, the gallery is open to the public on Fridays, 4:00-8:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays 12:00-5:00 pm, and by appointment. About the Eclipse Mill Gallery:

The artist-run Eclipse Mill Gallery features works by residents of the Eclipse Mill as well as other area and regional artists. The gallery is on the first floor of the Eclipse Mill Artist Lofts building, a former textile factory renovated in 2002-2005 to provide live/work spaces for artists in 40 lofts on four floors. The Eclipse community includes painters, writers, photographers, sculptors, illustrators, filmmakers, potters, weavers, musicians, and designers. Also located within the mill are River Hill Pottery, Brill Gallery, and G.J. Askins Bookseller. The building is fully handicap accessible.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
