TEN SPOT is a show of new work by ten contemporary artists from throughout the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. The ten Berkshire artists featured in TEN SPOT are Ven Voisey, Melissa Lillie and Sean Riley of North Adams; Marianne Petit and Brent Whitney of Adams; Richard Britell, Joe Goodwin and Olive Thomas of Pittsfield; Bart Arnold of Lenox and Kiki Dufault of Great Barrington. These ten artists will also be highlighted in individual billboards around the Berkshires in addition to the show at the Lichtenstein. The show is curated by Lauren Clark owner of Lauren Clark Fine Arts in Housatonic, Jonathan Secor, Director of MCLA’s Gallery 51 in North Adams, and Megan Whilden, Director of Cultural Development in Pittsfield.

Visions from the Edge confronts a world of art that thrives beyond the confines of reality, comfort and expectation. Showcasing talent and vision, artists with developmental disabilities challenge the community to connect with a world of order and sense unique to them. This show is organized by students from MCLA's Advanced Museum Studies class in partnership with the artists of Pure Vision Arts, New York City.

Forums offer an opportunity for the Northern Berkshire Community to come together in a safe environment and discuss mportant issues facing residents. This forum will look at different areas of struggle for those living in poverty, such as the lack of affordable housing and the unavailability of jobs that provide a decent and living wage.

They are trying to help out local artists by displaying their work throughout their store on Roberts drive. They have 3 floors that would be able to supply wall space for paintings and the top 2 floors would be able to put other art throughout. Contact them directly if interested. Their Dalton store can be used as well.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
