North Adams Regional Hospital Offers Free Colorectal Cancer Discussion

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — North Adams Regional Hospital will continue its series of free question-and-answer sessions with a discussion of colorectal cancer and colonoscopy on Tuesday, May 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The free event takes place at the Orchards Hotel on Main Street in Williamstown. Refreshments will be served and participants can enter a raffle to win passes to the North Adams Garden Movieplex. Registration is requested by calling 413-664-5142.

Presenters will include Lou Reines, MD, a general surgeon with Northern Berkshire General Surgery, and Chi Zhang, MD, a gastroenterologist with Greylock Gastroenterology. They will answer questions on colorectal cancer, screening colonoscopy, risk factors, and more.

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
