A very excited group of St. Stan students unpack 30 new iPads. |
ADAMS, Mass. — St. Stanislaus Kostka School students had something to be excited about on Monday.
Thirty brand-new iPads were delivered to the school as part of the school's drive to integrate modern technology in the curriculum and classrooms.
Along with the iPads the school has purchased grip cases to house them and enrolled in Discovery Education Streaming Plus. This is an extensive educational database that gives teachers and students state-of-the art access to virtual video and educational information both in class and at home.
The school is also in the final stages of purchasing new projectors and mobile carts to allow all classrooms access for both whole class and individual streaming.
The entire faculty will be taking part in a half-day professional development workshop on Tuesday, March 5, when they will be introduced to Discovery Education. Future workshops will be offered to expand on the program's capabilities and components.
Thanks to Principal Janet Tremblay for passing on the good news.
