Bullett Running for 3rd Term on North Adams Council

Print Story | Email Story

Dear North Adams voters,

I am running for a third term on the City Council.

The past four years have been a very rewarding experience in so many ways. It has been an honor to participate in city government and to do my very best to support those decisions I believe are in the best interest of the city.

I came into this somewhat a novice in politics. It has been a tremendous learning experience from working on different committees to learning how the city operates on a daily basis.

The committees I have served on include Public Service, General Government and the Traffic Commission, and as chair of the Finance Committee. I have been liaison to MCLA and the School Committee and recently agreed to be liaison to the Airport Commission. I have been vice president [of the City Council] for the past two years. I have served as a member of the Windsor Lake Commission for the past six years. I have gained a great deal of experience with city government participating on such a wide variety of committees. In addition to the committees I serve, I also make every effort to attend meetings for the other committees.

The city is moving in a forward direction with many exciting projects in the works and plans for many more in the near future. The city has built two new playgrounds and the development of the Noel Field complex is in the works, working with Hoosac River Revival as well as the bike path planning. New businesses on Main Street and continued growth of Mass MoCA are all positive indicators of our city turning the corner. I look forward to the completion of Colegrove Park Elementary School and the development of the mill on Route 2.

The city has been through some difficult and challenging times but these challenges can strengthen the community and we can continue the forward momentum. I am certain our city will see more growth and development with many more good things on the horizon.

I look forward to another two years to work for you toward a better North Adams. I respectfully ask for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015.

Thank you for your consideration,

Nancy Parisien Bullett
