Lee Babe Ruth Squad Edges Pittsfield

Leadoff man Evan Heath walked three times, stole a pair of bases and scored twice to help lead Lee to a 5-4 win over Pittsfield in the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 16-18 league on Saturday.
 
Heath also struck out six in six innings of work to get the win on the mound. Cam Redstone pitched the seventh to put the game away.
 
Dylan Ely and Redstone each had hits for Lee. Redstone's single in the third helped fuel a three-run rally that gave Lee a 5-0 lead.
 
Pittsfield rallied with a pair of runs in the fourth and two more in the top of the seventh.
 
In the fourth, Owen Gutzmer doubled and Mike Grady singled.

MassDOT Advisory: Montgomery, Blandford, Russell, Otis, Becket and Lee

LEE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that crews will be conducting construction and maintenance operations at specific locations on Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound in Montgomery, Blandford, Russell, Otis, Becket and Lee.

The work is scheduled to begin in some locations at 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, and will continue at different locations and time frames through to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2.  

At all times, travel will be maintained on I-90 through the work zones. The locations and schedules for lane closures for the work are as follows:

 

Montgomery

  • Bridge repair operations will take place on I-90 eastbound and westbound at Mile Marker 36 from Monday, Sept. 28, through Thursday, Oct. 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning. The work will require intermittent lane closures.

 

Blandford and Russell

  • Milling and paving operations will be conducted on I-90 westbound from Mile Marker 32 to Mile Marker 29 from Monday, Sept. 28, through Thursday, Oct. 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  The work will require intermittent lane closures throughout the night.
